Who We Are

A private investment and advisory firm committed to providing a different approach to investing in and building great niche services businesses for founders, owners and managers who seek not only capital, but a true partner for growth and value creation.

Derived from the Gaelic word for oak grove and symbolizing the oak’s strong and resilient root system, the Dara Knot has come to represent wisdom, leadership, endurance, trust and interconnectedness. Dara Knot Capital Partners was founded to bring these critical, but often missing principles to the process of investing in and building great businesses. In addition to capital, we seek to bring an ethical, informed, engaged and enduring foundation of support to all our partners.

Founding Partner

Cameron Reilly has over two decades of principal investment experience, as well as a background in corporate finance, M&A advisory and operations. Prior to founding Dara Knot, he was a Managing Director at Corridor Capital, where he focused on making control investments in and partnering with management teams to transform well-positioned, but under-resourced lower middle-market businesses.

Previously, Cameron spent over a decade investing across the capital structure in business, healthcare and consumer services companies at leading, middle-market private equity firms Black Canyon Capital, Sentinel Capital Partners and The Yucaipa Companies. He also served in a business development and finance capacity for Vantage Oncology. Cameron began his career as an analyst with Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup), executing an extensive range of M&A and corporate finance transactions for healthcare, real estate, financial services and technology, media and telecom companies in the U.S., Europe and Africa.

Cameron holds an M.B.A. with Honors from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and a B.S. in Economics, magna cum laude, from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was also a member of the wrestling and sprint football teams.
